Well we left Kelowna at 4 am Wednesday morning. Couldn't believe it but there was shooting light before we got to Vernon, so needless to say we were itchin to get where we were going.
Made it to Revelstoke by 6 and were across the ferry by 730. Pull off the highway and head up the mountain. Brent says we're going to have two bears bagged by noon. I was a little skeptical but effin stoked to see if he was going to be right!
First little road we take is nice and thick with overgrown bush then big open grassy patches, not to mention big ol piles of yogi poop.
After a couple hours of driving and glassing we decide to take a little walk. Still tones of scat but no big bears in front of them. By 10 am its about 22 degrees and we figure time to cover some more ground. so we jump back in the truck and 5 minutes later Brent goes Bear! he jumps out and before I even see the little bugger BANG!
We walk up and its not the biggest bear in the world (5 feet nose to tail)
but it has the nicest rug I have ever seen. I swear the fur is softer than my dogs! It was a nice healthy bear and I hope he doesnt want to pay for the rug cuz I'll sure take it!
We ended up seeing another Nice blackie later in the day but I missed. Nuf said!
Ps anyone know why i cant post these pictures?
