Moose hunting near Tumbler Ridge ??

l am planninig a hunt south of Tumbler at the end of Aug has anyone hunted in this area and are there any moose around. The area is 7-19 and we will be using quads, is there a meat cooler or butcher in Tumbler.

there's a butcher in tumbler at the local grocery store. other than that i dont know much. We checked that area out for a day last year and saw lots of moose. There was that big fire up in the tumbler area, dont know what that did to the animals or the area. Be sure to check up on the area your going to. I didnt get a chance to go for the august hunt this year but im sure if we went, tumbler would have been one of the best picks. good luck.

Don't let the fire area stop you, that was almost a month ago, by now the critters will be back to their usual activities, plus there will be quite a bit of succulent forage starting that may actually attract them to the fire area...
