Glen,
Some nice early velvet there. Another month and we'll be able to really pick out the keepers. Here's a couple recent velvet pics I was able to get. Too bad I didn't have better light with the bull. The timber was just too dark to get a good pic. Hoping I can see this bull hard horned this fall. The whitey looks like he might also turn into a good un.

Nice pics boys! Unfortunately, I didn't get a pic of the little sticks I saw on an immy last week, still with his twin sister. Now, where will he be on October 15th?

Oh sure, walk right up to a Whitey buck this time of year. I only saw one last fall and he almost ran me over running from my buddy.

Nice Pics , Looks as though the are all gonna be nice bucks. Most hunters wouldn't hesitate on seeing any of them in season.

Ive been lucky and have seen nothing but bucks while walkin down my driveway to the bus in the morning, seen a nice large bodied whitetail with quite the growth on his head, can't wait to see him in September! Saw a lil muley buck last night, his antlers were just starting to branch and his overall body size was noticeably smaller than the white-tail. Thinkin I might leave him be for a few years yet :D

That guy looks like he will have some gnarly bases with an extra kicker on his right. That would be enough for me to dump him, even if it's not the biggest frame.

All the deer that I have pics of seem to be alittle skinny and they just wont leave my licks alone. This is a spot where my cams took a pic of a 7x4 and I hope he returns again. I think these deer are staging here as the snow level is just above the cams.I ve never seen the snow level this late in the year so low.

Maybe they aren't eating what they are used to up in the alpine. Otherwise they look rather healthy and it doesn't seem to be affecting antler growth.

Here's a big buck i saw along the highway yesterday, he was the biggest of the group of 8 bucks. 6 of the bucks were 4 points

Here's a couple 4 points i got on my trail camera, i just got a bigger buck on that trail camera too but the memory card is still in the camera

Nice bucks but they all lack length of tines to make bc book. Tine length on the forks from start of fork to the end of tine has got to be at least 9 inches long on a perfect four about 26 inches wide and 21 inches tall to make it past minimum 175.
Looks like the yellow head country.
Jp .. learn to score fairly close in the field .. a mule deer buck like the one shown has an 18 inch spread of ears so it's approx 3 more on each side so add 6=24 wide
minimum so anything xtra is good. maybe another half inch wider. :-D
the buck is region 3 cuz the back tine on fours are a little shy in reg 3 in general ..
like this one is imho. the front tines are not bad maybe 9 but the back forks 6
only 2 and a half weeks more then done growing so 1/16 a day X 20=1 inch more.

That buck in late October will get it good if he hangs around the roads that close.
Nice photo's hunters luv those mules. Thanks nice to see those good size bucks.
Mr. Bigz hiding on us way up on the rocks some where eh?
The number one record booner mule deer buck has tines so long it looks wierd ..
If you think at 1st it's a bull elk, it's a huge mule buck, and he's gone ...............
Jel .. we are too slow some times .. I dig the pics .. The Big Looey...........mossback
