Shore fishing Bowen Island ??

Just looking for info on where I can go to shore fish on Bowen, I will be there for a week working and would like somethning to do in the evenings.

Never fished from shore but have had some good times fishing the N. side of it for springs.

i used to fish off the shore and the dock at King Edward bay as a kid back in the late 80s. I remember catching some big ling cod, flounder, dogfish, and lots of bullheads.

If you are chucking offshore....check the regs as with the exception of the south side ( area 29-3 which you really won't be able to fish due to access) you are in area 28....and both 28-1 and 28-2 (all of 28 ) are closed for retention of rockies and lings.

If you are fishing from shore around Bowen....there are no Rockfish Areas you will reach with a cast...unless you have one serious arm. :wink:
