I was out on the 700 road behind bear lake and ran into the guide outfitter with clients and he says he can't remember a spring like this. There should be a ton of bears out, and we only saw 2 today. Is it me or is the peak still to come.

Bears are all over around my place....maybe you should be hunting around Eaglet Lake instead of Bear????? ;-)

The season seems to be extremely slow this year with lots of rain and cold. I'm guessing things will speed up soon with the mating season and an abundance of green vegetation. I've notice a lack of activity even on the Island this spring compared to other years.

went out on the North Fraser and only saw one small bear on a 5 hour trip. We decided to hit up the Salmon on the way back and not a sign of those furry critters. I cannot believe how much vegetation is out there with no bears feasting on. Maybe just bad timing :(

Afternoons are showing more bears than mornings I am finding. Hunt from 2 in the afternoon till dark, find the poop and sit with the wind in your face and wait. There are LOTS of black bears running around, find the poop and wait! Moosin
