Elk hunting around williston lake

Anyone know how the elk populations are around williston? Is it worth planning a trip in the beginning of september or should I look elsewhere.

I have seen elk around the peace river area near williston, I haven't heard of elk anywhere else although I'm sure there are heards around.

good area near Hudsons Hope , north west of the town site, lots of elk, the area is referred to as Butler Ridge area,

moose and bears and deer also,,

Elkdom you have that right Butler Ridge is a very good area for moose and elk we hunted there a few years opening season and got our moose in the first few days ,saw some nice bull elk at this time but where not open at the time..
