Hello everyone!

Does anyone know of a jet boat packer that drops people off on the Turnagain River? I have found info on the packer that runs the muskwa and prophet but cannot find any info for packers that take local hunters up the Turnagain. I have done a number of fly in hunts and walk- ins off the cassier highway for sheep and caribou last one 15 years ago and always wanted to get into the turnagain in the vicinity of the confluence of the Cassier river. I have been to Blue Sheep and hunted the 4 brothers range, but it is too far from where I would like to go for some different scenery. Rainbow lakes is also in the area, has anyone been there? Thanks everyone.

at present there is no transporter providing service for resident hunters in that area. try contacting one of the outfitters in that part of the province.

Anyone know what happened to the guy with the frickin monster jet boat with twin 454's that ran the rivers back in the 80-90's? You could fit a twelve ft across the beam and 6 horses in it. If I recall right his name was Doug?

His name is Doug Lamb. I believe the game branch may have shut him down.

yes there are a few spots you can land above the falls.

Thanks for the input! Where are the falls that boxhitch and fearless mention in the posts. My topo maps show rapids all down the turnagain. Does anyone know if charters still go into Upper Blue Sheep anymore, or has Bradford put a stop to that. Thanks.

Give Bruce Mcnaughton a call at BC YUKON AIR SERVICE out of Dease lake he will know more on where to land.
