I hear there is a really mean sasquatch up in them hills. Likes to prey on hunters.

It's all good, both ways in are accessible. both ways will have you seeing game. I hunt the Scottie Creek side a little more, because the in-laws are only a few minutes from there. I feel Anyone who gets out of the truck and hunts this area, stands a reasonable chance at tagging out, I personally have yet to see anyone around the area huntin that wasn't in truck or on a quad, some zip by w/o even seeing me so. That being said I wouldn't recommend the area there's probably better areas closer to home :)

Sorry Jel - only ever hunted there once with my dad, about 20 years ago. That's where I saw my first moose get shot!
Still fish Hi-hume on and off, great rainbows - use a doc sprattly or a burgendy carry.
Used to always see bears around the foresty site, didn't see any the last time I was up though (Spring 07).

I hear the road is in good shape. Lots of big blocks down there thanks to our beetle friends. I was down in that area last year a couple of times, no big bucks but I did see a two point bull in the middle of the road on opening day...

Best of luck!

Hunted there last year. Saw does, but couldn't put 4 quarters together to make a buck appear.

Wolf tracks and packs are HUGE. I saw one pack that spanned a double wide logging road for miles.

I don't hunt wolves but am not considering it after seeing that!

I know the deadman/criss creek junction used to produce some nice bucks..have not been there in years though. What about all those non-typicals that came around the red lake area, anyone get in on that?

Scottie got moose and mule deer right in the smack dab deer and moose spots. Between Deadman valley and Highway to P.G. from Cache(trash)Crick love that Bonaparte river Cafe' too yah! Jelly-beanery-burger-fried onions and sauteed fries with that? Great food burger.

How long does it take you to come up with this stuff? I find it highly entertaining although puzzling at times...

Cheers

There are some blocks just above the falls. Hunt the edge of the bluff and you should find a buck....

Brousseau lake just above deadman Creek is inside MU 3-30. About 20 km up deadman turn left ( west ) up Scottie Creek. Then about 5 km turn left again to Scottie or go straight to Hi-hium in 3-30 also. Another place is Battle Creek that is good for mule deer. The backroad to Cache-Creek or up from Loon lake along Hi-hium creek to the Hi-hium Lake all good for muley's and mooses. Go there or be square. Good hunting-Jel-broosseau lake in 3-30.
Dead-on above Deradman for deadly hunting. Dead-right!

Brousseau Lake is actually in 3-29 there Jelly but it is really close to 3-30.

Yeah Jelvis Scottie is a sleeper. You don't have to go very far from the HWY to be in deer country your smack dab in the middle of it all ready. Most people just drive the roads. Go for a walk and the deer are everywhere. Nice camp spot at 5 km by the pond. Hike the ridge above that pond and your in for some fun your walking through there bedroom. Park your but in a cutblock and watch the deer will soon come. Just my two cents from my last weekend and I got the buck to prove it.

I've spotted a few monster bucks run down out of the scottie hills into the fields left of the hwy when heading north. Always after shooting light and always on a dead run for the fields.
