Went bear hunting this last weekend (MU2-2) and tromped around the bush, sat in high elevations/glassed, and drove here and there. we saw a total of 11 fresh bear droppings in a 1 km radius, but no bear.
but
Driving along a forest service road in the afternoon I saw a bear in a medow near the side of the road, but by the time the vehicle stopped and I got back to where I saw the dang thing, he saw me and ducked into the bush in less time than it takes me to bring up my gun...

Tough region to hunt that's all I gotta say. Lots of thick thick bush.
