My hunting partner drew spring griz 7-28 this year and we decided to try our hand at it. Just got back tonight and wanted to update anyone with this draw: snow level is still too high. Most back roads are covered in snow atm and the ditches/hillsides have no green growth on them. Probably be good to go in another 2 weeks I would think. We did however have a great time spending the night and a day on the Nation River. For anyone wanting to try jetboating there, the launch is easily done at 100km on the North road. We drifted/boated down about 50kms before hitting some rougher rapids that caused us to turn around. Just got the boat a week ago and still a little cautious with it ;p Trip wasn't a bust with a sighting of 4 cow elk and 7 moose (twice saw cow/calf crossing the river in front of us). Post if you get to 7-28 and have more success seeing bears, we plan to get back at it here!
