Anyone know if a guy can get into the flathead yet? We are heading from the WK to the EK next week and would like to get as far into the mountains as we can.
Thanks,
Dave

I would highly doubt it...I went up Lumberton teh oterh day and there is still a toone of snow at about 1200 metres or so....

Unless Tmbec did some winter logging down there this winter....

We could never get into the Flathead when I worked out of Fernie Ranger District until mid-June and the mud then could be pretty ugly. D6Dan's dad was ranger at Elko then and he might have some insight into this to share.

You might get in through the McLatchie maybe, but as above the McEvoy is open but there are vehicle closures in that area also. You never know that the guide outfitter in the Flathead could plow the road open to get his clients in. He has done this before so you never know.
