I guess ill get things rolling with a joke!

Why wasn't the chicken wearing any pants?

Because his pecker is on his head!:-D

Anyways im going to be signing up for my pal and core courses sooon, and figured seeing as it takes 6-8 weeks for your pal to get processed id get that over and sent away, then take my core while waiting. Just looking for a second opinion or other suggestions on my plan.

Thanks
Nathan

Just do it all at the same time. Instructors offer courses like this.
BTW, welcome to HBC!

FWIW; consider doing the restricted firearms course as well.

I challenged both of the exams by reading the books you can find at the library, instead of taking the full courses.
The courses are nice but I saved some time and money that way. I don't know if all instructors are up for this
kinda thing but there is a really nice guy in Kamloops I know that offers to do this. I agree with Dean, the restricted
at the same time is probably worth it if you are there anyway.

Challange them if you really undertstand the material....the course is well worth it if you're just starting from square one. As suggested, do your restricted as well....l know more then a few people who said pistols weren't for them only to look in the rear view and wish they had of taken it when they took their pal....at one time both the long gun and restricted were the same course, but there was more money to be made making them two courses of which over half the material is the same. Rest assured the criteria for restricted status will become more rather then less if anything in the future. Welcome to the site!

If you can't find a combined course offering both C.O.R.E. and PAL/RPAL, I would suggest doing the PAL/RPAL first, then you don't have to do the practical firearms portion of the C.O.R.E. test when you take that.
