Finally time to hit the mountains - headed up tomorrow for 10 days to see what we can find.:-D

So for those guys I've been talking to who are goin' after their grizz this week as well, and anyone else who'll be out chasing the old ursus, good luck to you all, and make the first shot count!

Cheers

Good luck! I seen 2 family units yesterday. Both sows with two cubs. It's nice to get my eyes calibrated before I go looking for my boar. :)
I don't ever recall seeing six grizzlies in one day before.

Thats because they are almost extinct, according to Dr Zookie...LOL

Yup, definitely almost extinct. That's why, 7 years ago when I had a tag for the Elk Valley, I saw over 65-70 DIFFERENT bears! And that was hunting basically just weekends from the end of April to the 4th of June.

The most grizzlies I ever saw in one day was eleven in the Bowron area. Most of them were a dark cinnamon color.
The blackies were noticably absent with that many big bears around. We turned back and went about twenty miles then we started seeing blackies again.

Good luck, Brombones. I've delayed my trip to the final week of the season (June 1-5). Still too much snow in the area of my draw. I'm really looking forward to going and hopefully getting the kill on video.

Still pretty snowy up in 4-34.. Bottoms of the slides are still all snow, access is improving daily but still difficult to get anywhere up higher... Good Luck!

got back last week from 7-17. only saw 22 Blackies, and no grizz. there was LOTS of snow up there, and couldnt get into most of the side valleys. last year at this time we saw 61 blackies and 3 grizz.
