Grizzly region 4

Any of you grizzly hunters ever hunt the east side of the Kinbasket lake north of Donald/Golden. Looks really nice on Google Earth, wondering what the conditions are like and if there are many bears in there.

I personally have never seen a G-bear in the areas i've been to, but they are there. Bush is also fairly thick too.

Yes, lots of grizzly bears. Some of the country isn't too bad to get into, other stuff you really have to put down some boot leather.

I used to hunt there alot and yes some very good Grizz hunting. Marl Creek, and up the back end of the Sullivan River is excellent. Bush is very thick but lotsa grizz. Depends what area you hunt but back towards Donald is good.

Yes, way out towards Sullivan camp. The slide that came down 2 years ago is clear.

Can you get to where the road hits the lake then turns right and runs along it?

You don't need to go past Bush Harbour to find a nice bear. All you have to do is walk down below the road (between Bluewater and Bush Harbour) along the creeks and small lakes on the west side of the road and/or take an ATV into the old burn and logging on the east side up to the slides . Bush is thick though but it can be done.

depending on unit you are drawn for check out around Jeb lake and Susan lake.good Grizz in here and also if you can find K road there are a ton of bears up here..black & grizz
