Planning to take crack at this and get out over the weekend. Thinking of heading down around Beaverdell/Rock Creek. Any tips on what to look for, type of typical terrain the birds are partial to, any areas I might to concentrate on. May be my only shot at a turkey this year. Hopefully not just a scouting trip, but better than sitting at home. Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks!

I've shot lots of turkeys near Cranbrook....I hunt them on Douglas Fir ridges just like mulies. They like to roost up on these ridges in big limby fir or pine where they can see in all directions. Try to locate and roost one in the evening, then be there in the dark the next morning to avoid spooking and quietly hen call until flydown and bingo...dead bird
