Steveo,
Too bad you didn't pick that moose paddle up last year. It was in a draw not too far from where you picked up the other fresh side last winter. Must have been buried in snow eh? ;) You should also recognize the deer shed too. Yet another year off the Coke Can buck. It is from the missing year of 05/06. That make 7 sheds off that buck now. I'll bring both with me in the morning so you can put them with the matches.

Here's a pic of the match to the moose paddle. Steveo found it last year while we were working. Was a ton of snow in there at the time so it is understandable that he missed the match. ;)

Here's some pics of 6 of the sheds we had found off the Coke Can buck as of last year. The ATL muley shed pic I posted is yet another year off this buck. It would fit in under the top matched set. Steveo has found 3 sheds off this buck and I have now found 4.

Great photos as always. Those sheep sure need some fresh forage to fatten up. Love the picture of the Hooded merganser.

I've got a shed off the coke can buck too. Believe its from the 06/07 year and it came off a different mountain than where he normally wintered!

Matt,
The first year I saw him was 04/05. I have him on video the day he shed out and found 1 side that day. Steve found the other side a couple months later. The missing year is 05/06 which I was assuming my recent find is from. The 06/07 year is the hook cheater set which I found fresh in Feb and Mar of 07. Steve picked up the 07/08 set last spring. Your shed is either the match to mine or else it is from 05/06 season and mine is from the 03/04 or visa versa. With your shed that is 8 sheds we have off this buck. We'll have to get all the Coke Can sheds together and take some pics to show his antler growth over the years.

Nice photos Steve.

Is that a new MR pack??

Kevin,
Yup that is a MR pack. It is used but new to me. The previous owners used it quite heavily last year. Nothing like numerous animals in a pack over the fall and then left dirty over winter to bring out that wonderful spring smell of sour blood. Had to wash the damn thing outside in a barrel and then hang it on the line for several days. Thus far, I'm really enjoying the pack. Seems to fit me really well and carries weight comfortably. I've passed down my Eberlestock to Cody now. He has grown like a weed and it easily fits him now. I'm sure both packs will continue to get bloody in the near future.

Great pictures again I love the flying goose. How has the shed hunt been going any more than what you have showed. The snow has melted up North enough to get out in some spots now. My hunting partner and I are going to look tomorrow in a spot that gives us a chance for elk, muleys, moose and even the odd whitetail there as well. We have about 8 hours in each and so far have found 1 fresh moose, 4 fresh mulelys, 1 old moose and 8 old muleys. We hope to add to the list tomorrow I will get some pictures if we find anything good.
