Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew of a Meatcutter in the Westbank-Kelowna area that processes wild game. Will be looking(hopefully)to have Bears Sausage done, as well as some ground/wrapped. Any advice would be helpfull.

James (250-763-2963) has a butcher shop behind his fruit stand on Gordon just past Cassorso. Excellent butcher, he did a bear for me a few years back and it was excellent!

After years of passing bears up, I decided to take one last fall that was feeding on blueberries. Peninga did the hams and I mixed the rest of the meat with deer scraps and had him make smokies, peperoni and garlic sausage. I highly recommend Peningas! The bears are going to be in danger this year..

I have been taking Bear and Venison to Hank for the last few years to mix for sausage. He did a good job on some Beerwurst and Italian Brats for me last year, they were very tasty. I always take him nice clean trimed meat frozen in 20l pails, saves him time and saves you some cash.

Cooks Meats In Westbank makes a Killer Garlic Sausage and summer sausage. You would have to bring in clean trimed meat though. I dont think they will process a fresh animal.
