Wearing my HBC cap was good luck for me, not so good luck for a Rio Grande Turkey that used to live in Gilroy, CA before taking up residence in my freezer. I watched two toms and a hen, all were a little call shy. Two hours of watching them on a hillside and I was in a position where I could move without being seen. I put a little stalk on them, called to get thier attention, and the Remington 870 with extrafull turkey choke performed well with the Winchester 2 3/4" #4 turkey load.
