I am looking for help to find a guide for the 2012 season for a moose hunt. I know that it is early but October 10 2012 is are 25th wedding annivesary and i would like to take my wife on a guided moose hunting trip. On are honeymoon we went moose hunting so 25 years later i and she would like to do it again in style. We only want to take one moose and were woundering what which guide to choose and at what price. We would like to hunt on are annivesary give or take a few days either side but part of the trip must include the 10th. On are honeymoon she took a bull moose and I would like her to do it again. I know its not cheap but I love my wife a lot and she's worth it so any advise would help.

Thanks

it depends on what you want...are you looking for that yukon/alaskan monster or do you want a big interior bull? The price varies depeding on that choice obviously. If you are not looking for that northern yukon/alaskan monster then I would recommend Ron Vantine in the interior. http://vantineguiding.com/
Beautiful country, great cabins, great host.

We are meat hunters only want meat.

So theres no point in spending $10k...go for an interior guide, the price will be less, the hunt will be just as good. World class rainbow trout fishing as well if your interested in that kinda thing with vantine.

I second Ron Vantine. Give him a call he is easy to talk to. He guides out of Tweedsmuir Park. Very beautiful area.

I would look into these guys. www.babineguides.com I guided for them for 3 seasons. Great outfitter. Nearly 100% success. They take alot of moose off the lake around October 10th. So there would be a great Chance to harvest one on the 10th!

well it looks like you have some choices, and they seem to fit with your past. Good luck, its a beautiful area. Let us know who you go with...if you go with Ron, Im gonna call him and tell him he owes me a night in one of his cabins lol ;)
