Myself, both my brothers and an old roomate are putting in for an LEH for cow/calf moose, we were planning on the area just south of PG. (7-2 - 7-18 )

living in the squamish area, im not too familiar wih PG, other than a trip to the bowron lakes a few years back...

can anyone make some recommendations or have any advice for me and my brothers? I dont need your honeyhole GPS co-ordinates, but some guidance would be appreciated!

also can anyone suggest an area where to set up camp (10x20 tent), (your favorate spot by a lake, stream, garbage dump, or dead end road)

the moose had a verry hard winter this year with all the snow in there .I have a cabin in 7-5 & was up there last weekend I talked too some CN guys thay said thay had never seen so meny dead moose on the tracks .thay say the train kills 600-800 moose between jasper & PG every winter .

7-2 thru to 7-8 are mostly east of Prince George. 7-10 thru to 7-12 are west of Prince George. 7-13 thru to 7-15 are west and north of Prince George. 7-16 thru to 7-18 are north and east of Prince George. 7-24 is North of Prince George. Maybe some more homework is needed with the regs to figure out where the heck you want to be situated. There are very good moose populations in almost all the MU's in 7A! Once you decide on an MU, give me a shout and like I said I will point you into a spot to start from! Moosin

7-14 or 15 usually hold a bunch of moose, but they can be harder to draw than some of the other ones. I had a draw out in 7-7 a couple of years ago and saw lots of sign, but it's thick re-gen through a bunch of it...not easy to hunt. Moosin's right; there isn't really a bad place to put in.
