Deer hunting 7b in Oct 10 up Pink Mtn/Halfway river area

l just noticed there is a early 4 point season up around pink Mtn has anyone hunted the area around the Halfway river for whitetails and mulies.

I haven't hunted the deer..but have moose hunted alot. You'll find both species on both sides of the halfway river...and if you cross the halfway near cypress creek..or head north past the old airport...you'll find them there.

They're everywhere along the halfway. It would be craziness to head into that area without moose, both deer and elk tags. Lots of private land though.

Have hunted there in Pink Mtn between no-name creek and whatchamacallit river for 8 yrs. I got a nice 5X5 mulie 4 years ago. Now I go early for elk & moose. I see old 5X5's grandson on the hills each year in the same valley but I am done my hunts 3 days before 4pt season opens. As for the whitetails there are lots on both sides of the Halfway river.
