it's bare roads here but careful on the drive up as I hear Burns Lake and Smithers got a good dumping on the last few days.

We had snow last 2 days. Has melted already.

Do you plan on doing some spring bear hunting while your up. Thats prime time!

Lot's of bears and some brusiers to boot. Try north of town between rosswood and lava lake. A few access roads are plowed out but still a fair amount of snow in the trees. Ha, and as I'm writing this the snow's lightly falling outside the window:)
Better bet is to bring your fishing gear as the first run of nookies on the Skeena are just gettin going. Safe trip

Lots of good black bears here and like was already said you should be here in prime time. The snow is melting pretty slowly on the back roads since it's been cold the last few weeks but that just means there will be more bears on the green spots :) just make sure you don't shoot any of the white ones

I came back from Bob Quinn Lk about 4 days ago, drove through Kitwanga, and through back to Kamloops (Smithers, PG etc...) and the roads were pretty good.

Just drove through to Rupert from van yesterday... Took the coquhalla... Little snow there and a little before PG but after that the drive was all clear... Be careful about the radar traps though, I drove through six.

No, he's referring to the genetically recessive black bear also known as the kermode bear which is found in these parts, the law will come down hard on you if you fill your tag on one of these "blond Grizzlies"!

Not so much...since the Kermode (a.k.a. spirit bear) is a black bear! ;)
