If there's a road closure area thats closed to hunting but open to all other forms of recreation - lets hear them. In particular if you believe there's no justification for keeping it closed.

Morkill FSR in the Robson Valley...

Thats my favorite one given how much land base / area and access there is.

Jacobsen/Lawless near Otter Valley.

Closed to hunters for a fire years ago, now completely grown in. Some of the locals were caught guiding illegally in there, lots of funny business going on.

patrick creek 4-20
skookumchuck creek 4-20
buhl creek 4-20
baribeau creek 4-20
cross river 4-25
albert river 4-25

All these serve no purpose except to protect GO's and should be removed

I think Reg 4 East has the record for hunting road closures, some named above but many more in the Bull River area and South Country, and IMO every one of them served to protect a guiding outfit. There were other roads, such as in Lumberton, that would have fit the bill but did not get closed because there was no outfit in there.

That being said, I don't have a huge problem with it. There are way more roads open than there are closed and sometimes it is nice to get in where there are a few less hunters. I think it may have backfired a bit in some cases as many serious residents are attracted to the closures and tend to hunt them even more effectively than the guides do. In recent years some closures have quietly come off and more may follow. Read your regs carefully.

I'm pretty sure the Downie Creek area near Lake Revelstoke falls into the is category.

Think that is now a open road back to 20 kilos and the G-Bears going to take a sh*t kicking

Shit kicking? Why were the authorizations increased? Season lengthened?
