I decided last spring to get into archery and picked up a Bowtech Admiral FLX, shooting it off and on throughout the summer.

This spring, I decided to tune the bow up a little and this is when I noticed I was getting fletching contact from my QAD Hunter rest (it was rebounding).

I just picked up a Ripcord Code Red and installed it on the weekend with a buddy (then spent a little time paper tuning it).

Took it out this evening and sighted in the 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 yd pins.

Here is the first group I shot at 70 yds .....

If that's your 70 yard group you're definitely "good-to=go!".

Tuning is extremely important, and you have a great group to show for it!! Now go try your broadheads and make sure it works for them also.

I shot broadheads a fair bit with the other rest and the Slick Tricks flew identical to the field points (I'll certainly be tuning with them shortly with the new rest though to make sure all is well).

You should stick to the arrows with the striped fletchings. The other ones seem to shoot a little low and to the left :mrgreen:
That is excellent for 70 yds. Lots of guys can't do that at 30 yds.

Betcha he's dropping his bow hand a tad too soon - trying to watch the arrow flight.

I've seen guys at the rifle range that couldnt get a group like that at 50 yds.
Nice shooting!

Dont you guys see the other holes in that bag. He just went and pulled out all the bad ones and left the 3 in the middle :mrgreen:.
Nice grouping man. I was thinking of running a paper tune on my new bow I think my whisker biscuit is sitting a bit low but not low enough to make a huge difference in where i hit so i think a paper tune is due

That's funny, my striped fletches seem to hit lower than my regular blazers ;)
Nice shooting, I am always tempted to buy a Code Red and scrap the Biscuit. Can't argue with a group like that!

Nice group rookie, but she's a little bit different world out in the field when you're stalking within spitting distance of a big bear. Then you can post up some real pics to boast about

There are alot of very good experienced shooters that can't group like that at 70.
You either got lucky.... or you NEED to start competing !:)
Nice shooting!

I'm not sure that I could walk an entire 3D course (I don't find my lucky horseshoe that ergonomic)

What yardage did you paper tune at?
