I just saw a story on CH news that a Nanaimo man who is turning 100 this year was granted a special permit to hunt moose in BC. His plan was to hunt one more time with three generations of the family; himself, his son, and grandson. The Nanaimo Fish and Game Club applied for him as a special gift of sorts. It is nice to see the Province pony up and do something that makes sense for hunters.

Is it possible that there is a glint of compassion within the gov't.

That is very good to hear and I wish him all the best on his moose hunt.

I'm sure this will be a hunt to remember for this guy, since it will be three generations hunting together. The only thing better then the company he will be with will be the moose they take.Best of luck.

I didn't know they went moose hunting in ancient Rome. Oh, you meant centenarian...

That sure would be fun. I wish my grandpa was still around.

I went for an attempted mountain climb with my dad (in his early 70's) last fall and it was great, though we didn't make the summit. Those guys will definitely have a trip to remember.

Had 3 generations on a bear kill, had 4 generations out trying for deer but no luck, maybe this year as my dad is still alive and kicking and with Willy and my grandson it would be cool. Mike
