Motel??? Did you look in the BC Rec atlas where 7-38 is? I would suggest a camper or wall tent with you just in case and then try to find a place at Germansen if somebody feels like renting you some sort of cabin or basement....no hotels but you might get lucky. I would suggest being there about May long weekend.

7-38 is a heck of a long ways from a hotel. Its remote and will require some work for carrying fuel, camp supplies, emergency gear, or other equipment for vehicle repair, etc.

Its a good ways back there and bringing a good camper or wall tent is the best way to go. Its a great area to kill a good bear in if you put the work in though. I've guided there in the past and some days we would see 4-6 grizz per day on the right day.

Ahh Ha ha, sorry, I actually think you are serious!!!?? Dude, expect a 4 hr drive on some rough roads from either Mackenzie, or Ft St James. Take everything you will need for your length of stay, and then times it by 2! Be self sufficient!! Estimate your gas and times it by 3. Take snowshoes, a pack board, and good hiking boots, as I believe there are ATV restrictions in 7-38 check it out! Make sure you are tuned up in the shooting department, as grizz get a bit bitchy when you wound them and then chase em!! It is beautiful country take lots of pictures and be ready for an adventure! Remember, there are other folks that do live out there so tread lightly when yer in their neighborhood! Have fun, be safe!! Moosin

Actually the post office/store in Manson Creek had a small cabin to rent last time I was up that way. However, I'm going to hazard a guess that if you're asking where a motel is you'd be better off staying home.

There's a classy motel at BlackPine. $5 a night, good food, good service. You can get a lap dance for $20 as well. It's interesting 'cause the whole time you'll be trying to guess if it's a man or woman. I never figured that out, but I was sure it was a Mexican.

The grizzlies generally stick to the main roads, so you can probably leave your hiking boots at home. Fisher-Dude may even accompany you, as he can't resist such a road-hunters 'heaven'.

Good luck.

Sunny,

If you are drawn for 7-38 and want some more details PM me with you number and I can call you. I spent two weeks up there for spring grizz and can give you a full briefing. We managed to harvest one last spring and seen a host of others. Great zone and an awesome hunt!

Unlike the deafening silence to my request for stone sheep info I am more than happy to share as much as I can to make your hunt successful. LOL

So PM me with your number.
