PAL refund

I applied for an upgrade from POL to PAL back in february. Got my PAL a few months back and today I recieved my $60 refund cheque!

I challenged a test so I could purchase a firearm. I went to an instructors home and wrote it, it was pretty easy (you answer 50 questions and need to get 40 correct to pass, then a little gun handling...). This was for the non-restricted licence (not handguns). When the registration started, I only applied for the POL (posession only licence), it's no good for purchases so I applied for the upgrade and sent in my $60. Tonight at trap, 3 other guys said they got their refund too!

I recently renewed and upgraded to restricted and sent my $80 in. Yesterday got a government cheque back for the $80 with a note saying that the fees involved have been waived and that it does not affect the status of my license. Russ

l got around to checking the mail today and my refund was in too, along with the same note......
Was thinking of donating it back to the conservative party, but the recent announcements coming from Days office has made me hold off until the parties election promises in regards to C-68 unfold.
