BOAR DOWN!..um..and a sow...turkey next

Well , our 'rein of terror' on the US South is picking up speed.Last night 3 of us did 'the rounds' around 10 pm for somw hog action with assault rifles and infra red scopes.
One field we spotted 10 er so hogs at the back of a field. My freind Joel his wife and I made out way with full 25 round clips each. Somewhere around 100 yrds we 'unleashed' laying down with bipods.
Those piggys can suck the lead up! only two dropped in the field and the rest made it to cover.
Heres the boar and sow that dropped right away.The rest were in the thick brush.

Turkey hunting has been kinda slow but fun...no kills yet but came real close yesterday with two different gobblers in less than an hr.

The guns are FN AR rifles in 308 with ATN Nightvision scopes.....verry cool toys!

Havent had any of it yet as we keep giving them to the locals.'aperantly' they are awesome to eat.We caught a shat load of large mouth bass today(well not as many as my buddys wife and son) and baited for more hog action for later.We also set some snares for hogs aswell , should be interesting....:twisted:

Very cool. One day I hope to get the the US for the same hunt. I know one could hunt boar here, but not with 25 round magazines and thermal/night vision.

Curious, are those night vision or thermal scopes you're using there? I'm doing the math on those carbines (not an assault rifle BTW, unless they do full auto :rolleyes:) and the scopes might put them in the $12k range. At any rate that's some nice hardware you're playing with there.

The scopes are generation4 and run around 10 grand each.They also have AR15 223's but the 308's seem to put the 'smack down' on em better.....this isnt an outfitted hunt by the way for the curious , just freinds with cool toys and permits!
Also , the 'jagerpro' thermal seems to be better! but as usual real pri$ey!..check out there fun on youtube.

Jagerpro is like 1200 for 3 days, not too bad and the scopes they use have a video out on them, just plug in and record.

We are going to make a video of the whole issue..from picking wich assault rifles out of the secret "man cave of 200 weapons" to 'lock and load' in the truck , the stalk..and BBBRRRRAAAAPPPPTTTTT......7 pm here , downing some whitetail then its ON !:twisted: Dont imagine the video will be on till sometime tomarrow though and using a flashlight to find them is hard , waitting till morning is much easier as you can be 10 ft from the dead ones and not see them!

Held the cam on the scope while the gun was on the bi pod...worked pretty good , actually should have pulled the trigger but it was a two man job to film.Have much more footage and gathering more tonight,will have a cool video in the end!

Its all on private land with permission as well leased land.We went out last night , heres another massive herd of em...we all lay down guns on bi pods , flick safety off and lead sow decides its time to 'book'...they were on the edge of tall grass so split second they all dissappeared.
Heres a weird tid bit , the hogs LOVE diesel fuel:shock:.Apperantly the absolutely love to root and roll in it!
These guys have pretty well fed the comunity this past yr and have shot literally hundreds but feel they havent put a dent in them.
The tics are unreal here. You go in the woods for a few minutes with no bug spray , your pulling them off later that night...creepy...thought I was 'good' last night , hit the sack , all sudden feel things creeping on me , pulled 3 of em......frikkin GROSS!!!
Down here you can have assault rifles with night scopes ,clips in driving around , hell even one in the tube and no need for any kind of license or permit!
The only time you need any kind of permit or lisence is if you want a handgun in the vehicle!

Down here you can have assault rifles with night scopes ,clips in driving around , hell even one in the tube and no need for any kind of license or permit!
The only time you need any kind of permit or lisence is if you want a handgun in the vehicle!
