Thats beautiful, can't imagine what it would have cost! About 1000 an animal plus habitat like that , wow! Thanks for sharing, they didn't have it there the last time we went down.

Lifesize mounts run about $3000.00 per mount. The taxidermist is a master of his trade. There is no one better.Fur&Feathers,Surrey

I was referring just to the cost of making the mount itself, not making a profit due to the fact that one persons profit varies with anothers. For instance that cougars mannikin is worth about 250, then there's tanning, eyes, earlines, ect. Each animal would take approx. $1000 to make.

their is an incredible amount of time that is put into every single one of the mounts as well, it isn't just materials. we are talking hundreds of hours on the rocks alone

They must have put up this display just after I went through the store. Nice indeed. I went once to Cabela's in Lacey , but what impressed me the most, and what I remember vividly ever since, is that taxidermy display there. I hope, that this display at Wholesale Sports is there to stay for good.

You should go check out Fur and Feathers. You'll see that Frank does not buy any of his mannikins, he makes them all himself from forms he has made and then tailors each one to fit the individual animal. There is no one size fits all, every animal is different.

And believe me there is not much profit to be had in the taxidermy trade, people that do it, choose to out of the love for the animals, not for the money.

I met the hunter last year for all of those animals. He is a really nice guy on top of being one heck of a hunter.

I went there today, looked at it and all I can say is that the display rocks. And rolls. Quality is outstanding. Went around it couple of times and enjoyed every second of it.
