I thought i would post this as a new thread so it would be easy for everyone to find but this is also a response to the other steak marinade thread. I bbq'd elk steak with this for all my family and friends the night before my wedding last summer and it got a lot of wicked reviews. I never used to marinade until i found this..... so good that the first time i did it i was opening the bowl every couple hours just to smell.... let me know what you guys think if anyone gives it a go... Cheers!
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic (optional)
I have tried this 2 ways--- blending all the ingredients in a bullet first and also unblended. I think i prefer unblended but both are great and i usually let it sit over night up to 24 hrs.... Happy BBQ-ing!!!
