Hey anyone been there in the last few weeks? Was wondering how the Kokanee fishing has been?

apparently my cousin went there last week with a whole shiteload of his kids (he's dutch) and caught 16 kokanee. But he does have a 26 foot custom weld...so that could make a difference

My son and a buddy was up there on Saturday. Caught their limit in a couple of hours.

They were fishing out of an old canoe...it's not the boat that matters at Kawkawa, it's the bait and if the bite is on.

Think I go eat me some smoked Kokanee now

Fish krill on the bottom, deep. I've caught them on the fly when theres a good hatch on.

I went ot an outdoor school at Kawkawa Lake circa 1979...haven't been there since. Shot bows and arrows, pellet rifles and went fishing. The Outdoor School still there? Is it by Princeton or something? I recall takign a train and then a bus....

Yeah the outdoor place is still there. Kawkawa lake is in Hope. Don't fish it myself but lots of people do. Will get busy when the summer rolls around with water skiing and such
