I have been looking at a few different day packs and have narrowed my choice down to 2 packs.

1) Badlands 2800

2) Badlands 2200

Besides the extra storage is there any advantage/disadvantage to one over the other.

Can't comment on the size, but on my Superday the zipper pulls( the metal parts) snapped off with very little use - actually the first day used.

I have the 2200 and I like it. Had the same problem as 792 with a zipper, I just called into badlands and they send me about 12 replacements. I am pretty sure that they have fixed their zipper problem though, the new ones they sent me were a little different.

I've had a 2200 for several years and it has been very good. It's heavier than some others, but you can pack sixty pounds with it quite comfortably and more if your into a little torture. Great pack if you may be hauling out meat on a day hunt hunt. The 2800 is definitely bigger, but I've never used one.

The Badlands Sacrifice pack may be worth a look for you. Much lighter, but apparently not as comfortable when loaded heavy. Some good deals to be had on them.

The 2800 is a little nicer for keeping your gear organized, having more pockets, and also has a built in rain cover which I like. The extra volume is certainly useful if you want to go for 2-3 days. I bought my brother a 2200 this year and he's been impressed with it so far, but comparing the two side by side we both agreed the 2800 gets the nod.

The zippers on the new Badlands packs are a non-issue if anyone's concerned about that.

I have the 2200, used it all season, loved it.

I have a Mystery Ranch coming in the mail, and this pack I will probably be using for all my hunts now.

I have my 2200 for sale, it is like new, I also bought the extra water bladder for it. -200$

I really don't have an opinion on either. I have a Superday pack, although it is a great pack I find myself wishing I had spent that money on something larger. Maybe something with a frame that could be used to pack out meat and enough gear for a few days. Just saying if you do not have a larger pack you might want to think about it.

That is a beauty, MR sure makes some nice stuff, I am looking at the Big Sky, good day pack but could haul a load. Very similar to the Big Horn but lighter.
