I am looking to buy a good set of binoculars up to $600-$700. What I need from them the most is that they work well with eyeglasses, not to bulky, fog proof, and that they let in lots of light. What would you suggest?

Every post is going to say different things about all kinds of glass. Your in a good budget range to get some great quality glass. My advice it to play with as many as you can. While the stats are one thing, the feel in the hands and the comfort on the eye can make a great pair even better. If they're not comfortable you'll use them much less.My bino's are Nikon Monarch's III's 10x42. They're not as expencive as your budget window but I'll not need anything else soon.

I wear eyeglasses and it was a huge P.I.A. taking them off to use my older pair of binos. I bought a pair of Vortex Vultures in 8.5x50 about four years ago. No problem at all since then. The eye cups rotate up or down and stay in position. I love them.

I am afour eyed freak aswell and I use a pair of Leopold Pinnacles in 10 x 42 and I don't have a problem with eye relief and they are very bright and clear.

Also have Bushnell Elite 10x42. Loved them and they were my go to until I bought the Canon 10x30 IS. The image stabilization blew me away. Unbelievable what you can see once the shaking has disappeared. Will be saving my pennies to upgrade to the 10x42 IS in the future. I just can't go back to Bushies after being spoiled by the Canon Stabilization.

I have a couple Zeiss binos, one is a handy 8X32 fits in my pocket and a 7X40 rubber armoured, waterproof a bit heavier and more bulky.
Both are excellent glasses.

vortex has an awsome lineup for very reasonable money. I highly recommend them.

Multiply your budget by about 3 or 4 and you'll be in the range for good glass. Otherwise, you're wasting your money, IMO.

Leupold Katmai's, 10x32 and they work great. About $500.00 anywhere you look.
Clearer than the low to mid Nikon's and quite compact

I like the Katmai's and I also like the Mojaves. Both are made in Japan, reasonably priced.

Best advice I can give is to get a number of different pairs, go out into the parking lot or street with the salesrep and try each of them at around sundown / dusk in a neighborhood with different distances with trees and buildings. You can swing around with the bino's and check low light areas and then back to bright... much like sitting and glassing into and away from the sun into various cracks and crannys of the parking lot area..... I did this at five different spots, reliable, italian, hunters, bird shops, and vancouver telescope. Tried bushnell, leuopold, zeiss, nikon, and vortex and choose the vortex vipers as they performed better for me in early morning, late afternoon tests... and I go the last pair of Vortex Vipers in town on sale 3-years back. But as I started and will end with,,,, you should get out an test a number of different types and then get what you can handle for price and performance.

Me I like my Vortex bino's.

X3 good binos for the money.
One problem.
Has anyone noticed that the clips for the neck strap squeek.

Forget neck straps. Change them out for bino buddys - or as some call them...Bino Bra's.
