Hello All,
What scope power would you prefer for a 300 wsm,
scope considering Swarovski 3-10X42 or 4-12X50?

Thanks for all input

X2

If your in an area that is very open, or expecting far shots the stronger power makes sense, however if its up close and personal with in 200 or so id say the 3x9

Happy hunting

3-10X42,..... lighter, more compact, wider field of view, and more available elevation adjustment. A 42mm objective in that magnification should give you more than enough brightness in fading light (especially a Swaro). The difference in image size between 10X and 12X at extended range would be minimal. Just my 2 cents:lol:

Those Swarovski Z3's look like the real deal. The Z3 3-9x36 would be an excellent light rig scope. The 3-10x42 with the BRX reticle looks like it would work for your rig. Not sure how they will hold up but if I had the $$$ I'd buy one. If you want to start spinning dials the Sightrons look good, are priced fair and are getting some great reviews. Good luck with the purchase. Who are you going to buy your Swarovski from?

for general big game hunting the Quality 3x9x40 scopes are by far the most versatile, up close 20/30 yards at 3x, very clear and deadly out at 400/500 yards at 9x,

3x9x40+ haven't let me down in 30 years,,,;-)
