Congrats, she is a real beauty!

My only problem with puppy pics is that it always makes me want to go out and get one.

Super cute. I love the smell of a fresh puppy.

Training should start in about an hour, just before bedtime. ;)

No time like the present man. I'm thinking your kids need a dog. That's how I'd justify it anyway.

I have a 2 and soon to be 4 year old. Adding a pup would make it nuts. I think it's worth waiting a year

Well im going to convince the parents to buy a lab... ( I intend to make it my dog :D ) If you don't mind me asking Ddog whereabouts did you find the puppy? Was it local? Congrats on the new family member.

yes it was local TPB, kinda, (sparwood) and we kinda lucked out,
After losing a couple of ducks in Oct and missing my yellow lab that was put down 3.5 years ago my wife and i talked about getting a pup. Long story short, we came to the conclusion that it was not in the cards as we have a 2 year old daughter and my wife was on leave from work. I hated the decision but it was the right one (so i thought). So after talking to many breeders on here and around BC and AB the thought of a new pup was pushed to the back of my mind and try to forget about it.
then about a month later my wife found an add for black and yellow lab pups in Sparwood, then the thought came rushing back to me about having another member of the family and a new hunting partner.the call was made and the appointment to meet the dogs was a few weeks later.
Now heres the thing, The pups were born on my wifes's Bday they were ready to go on my Bday and the one we picked they lady there named it missy which is my wifes best friend. so there was way to much coincidences for us to not have that pup join our home!
unfortunately ( for those looking) all the pups have new homes and there may not be another brood for this particular couple.

She's a beauty Ddog. I love labs when they are puppies, all wrinkly and clumsy. Oh wait a minute, mine still looks like that and she is 9. LOL Abby is a great addition to your family. Congrats.

So how was the first night?! You didn't bring her into your bed did you :D That whining is tough to handle! I caved the first night, never again.

The real weird thing is its kinda like she is supposed to be here and she knows it, there was no whining no nothing, she was so content she just snuggled right into her bed and went to sleep, got up at 2:30 for a quick poop and pee and then cuddled right back up and went to sleep until 8 this AM.
it was almost like she was smiling all night when we looked at her
strange or what.
