Gun stock painting??

i wanna paint my synthetic stock, i really like the look of the kinda custom paint drips/splatter anyone do there own or know how? what kinda paint to use? something that's not going to rub off? pics anyone?

I have been thinking of apinting my stock on my mountain rifle or quite some time now, just a bitscepticle on the durability of spray paint. From what ive read prep should be done by 00 steel wool to rough the surface up a bit to get good adhesion. Next spray thin coats of Krylon Fusion paint for plastics, followed up by Krylon Webbing paint and then hit with a few coats of satin clear coat and let dry nice and hard. The one part that im having troubles with is finding the webbing paint....i knew there was someone on the site who had bought a case of it but i lost his contact information.

I looked everywhere for webbing paint and could only find gold. I don't think it is available in Canada anymore. I just used Krylon camo in OD green, brown, tan and black. Use leaves and branches for stencils, the smaller leaves work better than larger ones. Cover the whole thing with a couple coats of clear matte finish and your done.

I bought some rustolium plastic paint primer, after a light coat of it you can use any type of spray paint to design the stock.

I have a buddy that will do stocks in zolatone for 80 bux, your choice of colours from the zolotone site (if he does not have it in stock he will order it) Primed, zolotoned, and matt clear coted in a super durable industrial clear coat that wont wipe off with gun solven splatter!
