View Full Version : Roosevelt Elk, 8th in the World???

I found this Elk mount in with a bunch of movie props last Sept. A little sign indicated that it was ranked number 8th in the world. I would inmagine that this place has shifted a few since it was first scored. I asked the shop owner about it. He said that it was scored but could not remember what it was. The sign indicated that it was non nregistered??? Meaning??? It apparently has been doing the movie and TV show rental prop circuit for a few years. Does any one know anything about it?

Looks fake to me. Maybe it's just the picture, but the antlers like they're made of plastic.

Yes they look that way,but if they aren't it is a nice animal. I was 13 th in the record books way back when with my elk I am probably 53 now lol.

looks like a Rockie to me. Woulda thought the top would be crowned with a rack that big?

Yes,it doesn't look like Rosey antlers,so I'm gonna say rocky mountain elk too.Very Dark and not the "red" colour that most rosey's have.Still heavy though,cool find if it's authentic!
