With so many reputable brands, nearly all bags will fit the bill!

Get the footprint. Saves the life of the tent bottom if you end up on any rock etc!!

I have the sierra designs gamma tent, it's a great tent, packs small and light, they seem to build decent tents.

i would order the footprint in for someone after the fact. I have one for my tent, but dont use it all the time. I ordered it after the fact. Sometimes you can use the fly with the footprint and leave the main tent at home for ultra light weight fair wether camping. If someone decides they want it, they will be happy you can get it. Their is only a 50 percent chance that the person who buys the tent will want it, imo. that tent fits a good niche market for size and weight. The vents on the fly are a nice option.

The sleeping bag looks like a great bag 850 fill down, 1lb 15 oz. Keep it dry though or maybe spray the outer nylon with some type of DWR spray. They don't mention on their specifications list if the nylon is coated already.

I have always substituted the heavy black garbage bags (contractor bags) for a ground sheet. 2 of them will cover the ground for most any backpacking tent and they can be used for a variety of other things. Cheap and thick enough to handle sleeping on the rocks.

Nice tent. I too am buying a new tent for myself and am leaning to the MH skyledge 3. About the same weight and with 2 vestibules a little bigger than the HT3. Also a little more money too.

i'm sure that tent will become a second home for ya during the fall months.

I think you better look into a larger sized sleeping (read romping) bag for both you and Gates...

The heavy garbage bags are a good idea, but if trying to be "ultralight" the ground sheet would work too.
Half length zipper on the bag? - Boo, Hiss!
