Thompson River Sheep.

Drove up to spences Bridge on sunday to look for sheep. We saw 4 goats Between Lytton and Spences, and 4 young rams, 6 ewes and 2 lambs. And we also saw a bunch right in town. Got a good picture of one in town.
At this time of year will the bigger rams be on their own? Or with other rams? it seemed only the young guys we're with the ewes.

usually when you see rams and ewes and lambs together its generally younger rams..

Spenses Bridge I usually see the older rams together in groups of 3-4 or so..and seperated from the ewes and lambs

When on those rare occasions I have seen CRANKERS over the years down there its usually been a single ram..

I have a photo here at the house of over 12 rams..CALI rams..and they are ALL full curl..lined up in a line like the Los Angeles Rams front line..:mrgreen:but that was 15 years ago..and havnt seen that since..

Coming back from Vancouver did see 2 larger rams by the hydro encloser and a bunch(15) ewes and lams 12 kms south above frog rock..just into the 2 lane passing section going North..

Thanks! I've seen a couple good rams, but that was in the rut and they had ewes. thanks for the info

did you glass the goats from the highway ?

I didn't know there were goats in that area. I've haven't seen any in many years hunting and driving by there.

there are some WICKED big elk there..never seen any goats either..

Yeah, the goats are right by the Sikihst campsite, which is just after the goldpan campsite. Look up to your right and there are 4 gaots that live in the cliffs about 500 yards up from the highway.
