Did you see any goats? Any deer? The area out of sight below your boots in the second picture has some nice grass for grazing.
There was a group that hunted the goats' wintering area on the Southwest side above the Elaho and consistently took animals. As this was an isolated herd I wonder how they fared against all that pressure.

I was just up at Blanca Lakes yesterday. Drove up from the upper Squamish FSR and maxed the truck out getting to a high clearcut. Bushwacked up to the alpine and saw tons of goat tracks in the snow. Wish I had time to hunt there in the short season it is...maybe next year
