I was wondering if anyone makes there own wild tea out of leaves, roots plants and such that is wild in the central interior or know of any good books on the subject my girl friend has turned into a bit of a tea nut but she is buy extremely expensive stuff from a new store at the mall I would like to make some natural local stuff for her thanks

Dried wild rose hips work real good, especially if you can find the ones that have passed through the digestive system of a sasquatch. They are similar to the coffee beans that civit cats crap out.

I've made pine needle tea. Taste is OK. Use the young needles at the end of the branch and steep about 20 minutes. High in vitamin C.

I make tea out of pearly everlasting - I pick in the late summer and hang to dry. Has a sweet smell and ends up like an earl grey.
