quick question. This is my first LEH appl.
There is 4 of us in my hunting group. my buddy his gf and me and mine. I am wondering if its better to apply as 2 groups of 2 , or all 4 together? as far as chances of being drawn goes i mean?

I assume you are talking about a moose shared hunt? I think the odds would be the same but if you all put in and get drawn you can take two moose, where if you put in 2 and 2 and only one gets drawn, you can only take one. As well if you are all in the same group you can all legally hunt moose if drawn, not so in the 2 and 2. Now one may be enough, but keep that in mind.

Additionally, thinking about future draws and reduced odds, if you put in as a group of 4, and get it, then you will all have reduced odds for the next 3 years. If you put in as 2 and 2, and one group gets it, two others will not have reduced odds the next year (assuming you maintain the same groups). That being said, unless you are putting in very low odds areas, you will be lucky to get them once every 5 - 7 years, so myself I would just go for the 4 in a group and have fun hunting with your friends :)

i think...for somebodys first draw---chances to get one are pretty good,,, something like deer anyway

First draw or 500th makes no difference in the odds...that's an urban legend/old wives tale.
