So I have had a pair of these Swarovision 8.5x42's for about 5 months now. Unreal glass.

My only issue is, when I hike with them, I use a Bino Buddy strap, and because of the side mounted attachments, the binoculars seem to pivot there, and when hiking up hill, or anytime they wouldnt be flat against my chest, they pivot off my chest and then tap me in the ribs repeatedly!

Anyone else have this problem lol?

just put the strap across your chest and under your armpit for now.

BE CAREFUL..I have had my straps on my swaros come undone a couple of times..bumping your chest is a lot better than breaking the bank..for another pair..

cheers

I have Leica and Zeiss binos and have used Zeiss since I was 21, in '67; I always just put the neckstrap under my "sternum strap" on my pack and have yet to have a problem in the years of doing this. I keep my bino strap short as possible and never notice the glass bouncing.

hahaha, too funny. See that kid walking around in a set of wool pants, looks like he borrowed them off homer simpson.

Lol thats pretty funny, about 30lbs would do it,

no need for a better strap, just more mass gainer protein powder.

Eat lots, get a belly and stretch the bino buddy to the max. They wont bounce.

Ive got the same binos and a few others...personally , I cant stand em bangin around.I have some cabellos bino straps wich are quite solid.BUT even so , I always put em on before my final jacket. but my outer shell or jacket goes on over my binos....unzip , pull em out...stuff em back in , zip...ride on or hike , whatever.....a habit I have had for years..solves lots.

The only problem I can see with the AlaskanGuide Creation Bino Case is that you also still have to wear another strap around your neck so your binos won't fall to the ground if they slip out of your hand. Try the crooked horn Bino pouch, the hornhunter bino hub or the Badlands Bino Case.

Less is more........forget all those fancy strapping ons.

Wear your Binocular with a long strap under one arm, no more Bouncing and as ready as if it hanges straight down from your Neck.

I always wear my badlands strap-on in the field, never leave home without it. No issues with a pack on either. Get your self one of them thar strap-on thingies!!
