This weekend was our first weekend out yet this late season. My dad has suffered from pneumonia since the opener and is still on medication... but he felt up to hitting the fields for one last weekend.

Dad and I had a fun day yesterday on the Dinsdale with our friend Dan. We had our chances. I called us in a double right to 15 yards... my dad yells NOW, I jump up and drop one on my first shot... Dan and my dad unload 6 rounds at the second goose and it just didn't want to join us for dinner! So a total of 1 on friday. The horrible afternoon weather ruined the fight patterns so we didn't get into them like we had hoped. Had a great time though!

We managed our limits today! My dad and I headed out to a field and sun bathed in todays warm weather. All pairs this morning. We had 8 geese by 8:15am. Shooting was sweet! All of them were taken feet out at 15-20 yards.

We waited for the two more until 11am, but they didn't show... So we went to jump a pond on another field . I sat at the exit ready with the gun while dad goes to push what looked to be a single goose out of the pond. I hear the bird take off and is heading my way. I may have waited a little to long to shoot... as I made an 8 yard shot! It was snowing feathers fellas! My shot scared off another goose out of the pond an it flew over my dad... he fired a shell and down came the bird.

And there you have it! A 2-man limit. Last day of our season, and it turned out to be one of the best days of the season!!!

Total of over 60 pellets through the front, side, and part of the back. Also crumpled both wings!

There's a few days left guys... so go and get em' while you can! Today was the last day for our 2010/2011 season, and it sure was a helluva fun season!

Sad day today... all of our deeks and blinds were cleaned and put away, the truck was given a new name, the apperal was washed and put to rest, the Tim Grounds SM will remain untouched until September... it was truely heartbreaking :cry::cry:.....

Oh well... FISHIN' TIME!!!:mrgreen: Almost time to hit the water and fetch some crabs, fish, and enjoy travelling our beautiful gulf islands!!
