Perhaps good news for the ungulates this winter??? I just flew about 15 hours worth of time in the helicopter between Bell II and Iskut last week doing wildlife surveys and didn't see a single wolf. Further, we only saw one wolf trail comprised of tracks from 3 wolves traveling along the Iskut River. Normally see much more sign of wolves than this.
Not sure the reason why.

My hunting partners and I have certainly contributed our share of copper and lead to them over the past decade up there!

Was up there 2 seasons ago for my spring grizzly draw and all I saw was caribou, caribou and more caribou!
