Goat Locations

A friend of mine wants to backpack in for goat off the Alaska Hiway. Could any of you be any help as to some general ares ? I am not expecting your favorites locations just ball park. Interesting enough there is only 1 or 2 goats that make B&C (1993) from than part of the country.

I am thinking of back end of the Toad River or west of Muncho Lake. Any help wil be appreciated. thanks

7b isn't great goat country when compared to the ek but there are goats west of muncho. i would walk up the trout river on the south end of muncho.

Also see the closed areas on the west side of the hiway = lots of walking. the east/north side is open but seldom see a goat and one that is worth taking to boot. If your serious about goat look into region 6 bigger goats some open season areas but ya will have to work for them, but its why we hunt right:-D
