French,
As far as I could tell, that first buck is a broke up 7x7.

Yup, he's getting pretty old now. I've watched him for the last 4 years now. He's been broke every year. I'm thinkin' it's his survival strategy. Bust yourself up and dana will pass on ya. ;) This year he broke his one G4 almost completely off.

December black bear? She set her alarm clock wrong? Man, they must be hungry. Wonder if the cubs will survive the winter or become wolf bait?
Nice pics CS and dana! That second buck has a nice wide spread. Is he older, you think, or gonna get better?

Shows there are no dink bucks in Clearwater

I just don't take pics of the dinks. This winter I saw countless young bucks, many of which were legal 4 points that made it through the season.

Does anyone else have any post season scouting pics? Maybe there in lies the problem with people who assume there are no big deer left. Just because you had a tuff hunting season doesn't mean that all the deer are dead. I've heard the rumours that too many out-of-towners and too many wolves have killed all our deer. I guess these 4 mature bucks must be the only ones left eh?:mrgreen: Must be why all the outfitters are whinning about the lack of big bucks in Region 5 too. Because they don't get off the couch in the winter and actually look for them and identify target bucks for the next season.

Mark,
That's a Sweet trail camera pic of a Sweet Bull! Betcha you can't wait until they drop eh? Definately a bull to focus on for 2011 season.
Hope you can pick up his matched set and then kill him come the fall.

Springer,
Looks like a group of dandy bucks! I wish they batched up like that here. Should make for some good sheddin' when they finally decide to drop. I'd be watching them on a regular basis cause it should be any day now.

You bet Steve, I have been keeping a close eye on them. I dont want to disturb their hangout to much right now,in hopes they drop here. I did walk through the other afternoon while they were bedded and picked up 3 sheds, nothing big.2-3 and a 4 point. When i stop seeing the bigger bucks and less with bone on their head I want to get to them before the rodents do.
