A BLACK FAWN Maddie

Pictures taken by RJ Verge near Beamsville On. Canada

Black deer are more rare than albinos.

I have never seen or heard of one of these before. What beautiful pictures.

If you love animals....this is a rare and beautiful set of pictures.

That's awesome. I hope it turns into a big buck and I can turn it into food for my table. Don't worry, I'll share the pics so everybody can see it!

Two healthy fawns in a suburban setting - I hope they don't get hit by a car or anything. Beautiful pictures.

Somethings wrong with your avatar picture. Theres a red spot or something. Hopefully it can be repaired.

And the black deer, cool I guess, but just another bullet for anti hunters to put in the gun.

That would be what's classified as a "piebald", similar to a paint horse.

Albinism would render it completely white with no color pigment on it at all, as well as pink/red eyes.

there's also a piebald one in the aldergrove area, it is intresting to see a holstein looking deer amongst several normal color ones, and one time in the south ok. early nineties my brother and i were driving from one slash to another when we noticed something pure black in the middle of the road from some distance away, there was over a foot of snow and we both didn't remember seeing anything on are way in there. I said perhaps we overturned a burnt log or something, slowly that "burnt object'' disappeard off the road, so much for that theory, then we thought wolf, as we approached the location, in the ditch was a jet-black whitetail buck, not very experienced we ventured into whitetail territory without a whitetail tag and watched both in amazement as it crossed in front of the truck and then high-tailed it out of there, and yes its tail was up and it was as white as snow, along with the rack it was sporting. but everything else about that deer was black

I think the ones you saw would be a piebald, I have seen them around the cabage fields just behind the best western, and around the shiet plant.
I also saw 6 piebald deer a couple of days ago at 176th and 16th while I was driving my rig so I could not stop for a pic. I did however get some close up (5 feet) shots of the doe and fawns in the wack!
