Wilderness Wanderer also makes a good pack for a dog. Pricey but way better then anything I have ever seen in the stores.

There is a pic on here somewhere of the packs on my dog, if you do a search.

I have an ezydog pack right now for my dog, I like it, It has good carrying capacity, It is pretty noisy in the bush though. It seems to be well put together, and it has a "V" strap in the front rather that just a strap that goes across the neck ( this was a big factor for me when picking out a pack) After I found this pack I came across some packs made by "Ruffwear", and I think the next pack I get will definetly be from them, they have some really good design ideas.

I've used a Ruffwear pack for my Sheppard/mastiff cross for the past 2.5 years and it's been great - on a 5 day trip he can carry all his own food, extra leash, first aid kit and my stove. It's sturdy and carries well.

I have two minor cautions on them: my dog has a very deep narrow chest and the harness sometimes slides to one side. Twice Ive missed it until he had a pretty bad hotspot in his armpit. I now check every so often to make sure it's sitting right. But I think that's more about how the big dude is built and less about the pack.

My second caution is this: the buckles that fasten the pack to the harness are plastic and I/he broke them off on the first one - but it was probably overloaded at the time (and my dog was in an extra rowdy mood). But Ruffwear replaced it on a rush order and I had a new one in just a few days.

But I'd definately buy one again - really well thought out packs!
