Season is about to kick off. Bought shells. Cleaned guns. Did well for ducks. Now on to Snow Geese. At least, that's my intent. Some minor issues holding me back.... No boat, no dog.

I've been jump shooting ducks out in Ladner. Kick them up out of the slough and shoot. Notice tons of Canada Geese in the fields feeding with Swans. Swans are pretty. I like Swans. I'm tired of Swans.

My question is whether or not these Snow Geese will put down in the fields? You always hear about them overrunning Westham Island (Which, I've been told, is difficult to hunt on as people don't really want you out there?) but I'm fairly certain you need a boat. Which I do not have.

Thoughts are always appreciated.

Snows often feed on land at night and spend the day offshore. You need some good planning and a bit of luck too!

Thanks, man. Went out again today for Canada's. No luck in Ladner and saw some in Pitt, but couldn't get access...

Anybody having any success with the Canada Geese this "Spring"?
